Thank you for visiting TheShopofTheCrafters.com. This site is an ongoing project to gather and share information about the former "Shop of the Crafters" furniture company operated by Oscar Onken in Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 1900's.
Onken's company produced furniture in the Arts & Crafts style with distinct German overtones. Some were very successful, others not-so-much, and others ... somewhat humorous.
Information on the company and its furniture is scarce, and we hope to increase that knowledge through our own searching, and with your help.
